1 Who is responsible for your data
Commercin Limited, a company registered in Ireland under number 827500, with its registered office at Office 2, 12A Lower Main Street, Lucan, Co. Dublin, K78 X5P8, Ireland, is the controller of the personal data processed through commercin.com, our apps and our events. For any privacy question or request, write to privacy@commercin.com.
This policy applies the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018.
2 What data we collect
- Account data: name, business email, phone number, company name, job title, country, password (stored encrypted).
- Business and verification data: company registration extract, tax number, identity document of the legal representative, company address and website.
- Activity on the Platform: listings, quote requests, quotes, messages, orders, reports you submit.
- Event data: your registration, role (exhibitor or buyer), sector, products or needs, attendance and, where you request it, information needed for an invitation letter.
- Payment data: once secure payment is live, payment details are collected and processed by our licensed payment provider; we receive only the transaction status and reference, never full card numbers.
- Communications: emails and contact forms you send us, newsletter subscription.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and error logs, collected for security and to run the Platform.
3 Why we use your data and on what legal basis

We do not use your data for decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4 Who we share your data with
- Other users, when needed for a transaction: your company profile and listings are public; when you send a quote request or enquiry, your contact details are shared with the supplier concerned.
- Other participants of an event you attend, with your consent, to organise meetings.
- Our service providers, acting on our instructions: hosting and email (Namecheap, Inc., United States), and, once live, our payment provider.
- Members of the Commercin team, including our business development team in Tunisia, who need the data to support users and organise events.
- Partner institutions (chambers of commerce, embassies) only to the extent needed to invite buyers to an event, and with your consent where required.
- Authorities, courts and professional advisers, where the law requires it or to defend our rights.
We do not sell your personal data.
5 Transfers outside the European Economic Area
Some recipients, including our hosting provider in the United States and members of our team in Tunisia, are located outside the European Economic Area. Where the destination country does not benefit from an adequacy decision of the European Commission, we protect your data with the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. 6 How long we keep your data

7 Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted passwords, access restricted to authorised team members, and regular backups. No system is completely secure; if a breach affects your data and creates a high risk for you, we will inform you as required by law.
8 Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights, write to privacy@commercin.com. We reply within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission, 21 Fitzwilliam Square South, Dublin 2, D02 RD28, Ireland (www.dataprotection.ie), or with the supervisory authority of your country.

We use only the cookies needed for the Platform to work. Details are in our Cookie Policy.
10 Minors
The Platform is reserved for businesses and is not intended for persons under 18.
11 Changes
We may update this policy. We will inform registered users of material changes by email or on the Platform.
